What was the most memorable moment of your day?
TIA: SO MANY memorable moments of our day! Yikes, this is hard. One that stands out is finally reaching Casey at the end of the aisle, holding hands and exchanging our I love yous to each other (he looked so handsome!). Then our minister (my Uncle) opens his welcome speech with “sometimes it’s better to seek forgiveness than to ask permission” and Prince- Let’s Go Crazy opening lines start to play. There was never a dull moment that day!
CASEY: Easy, Tia coming down the isle.
What is one piece of advice you’d give to a couple planning their wedding?
TIA: A piece of important advice I would give is to spend a little time together leading up to/before the big day. It is so easy to get caught up with family and friends and the setup of it all that you might find yourself neglecting or missing out on the relationship that all of the beautiful décor and family and friends are gathering together for in the first place.
CASEY: Don’t do it in a cattle barn. Kidding, I think the biggest piece of advice would be to keep timelines and stay ahead. We set goals of when to have things done and I think that was very key in having the wedding that we did. That timeline is also very dependent on great friends and family that are very willing to help!
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
TIA: This is a tough one, our day was just filled with so much fun and ridiculous amounts of laugher. I think one of the funniest moments was when Casey and I were taking photos in a beautiful hay field and Misty said to “Look at each other but hold really still for a bit”…..well I couldn’t help myself and told Casey ‘Staring contest 3,2,1’ and we both had the hardest time keeping ourselves from completely cracking up and ended up laughing hysterically. And basically everything our wedding party did like the ”genetically beautiful” people they are.
CASEY: When Dixie came running up to Tia and I soaking wet. I held Tia’s hand and one legged hopped, while trying to push Dixie away with my boot. SO I guess you can say I kind of kicked at our dog in my wedding ceremony to keep Tia’s dress from getting dirty.
